金塊的替補球員戰鬥力堪比先發球員，尤其是賈瑪爾莫瑞13投9中，攻下全隊最高24分，外加6籃板，幫助球隊在主場110比107馴服公牛。
金塊全隊6人得分上雙，替補球員攻下55分，與先發球員的55分不分上下，除了表現最出色的莫瑞外，威爾森錢德勒16分、9籃板、3助攻，尼爾生10分、4籃板、7助攻，先發球員以中鋒紐基奇的14分、14籃板最佳，賈林納利15分，巴頓10分。
公牛在比賽最後56秒靠著吉米巴特勒的三分破網追成107平手，巴頓在最後9秒切入上籃造成韋德犯規，2罰俱中後金塊109比107再度領先，卡南搶在三分線外出手沒進，公牛只能祭出犯規戰術，賈林納利第1罰得手，第2罰故意不進，沒有留下任何時間給對手反攻機會，最終以3分之差險勝。
安東尼戴維斯雖在第二節受傷退場，但他領軍的鵜鶘仍在客場以112比94擊潰老鷹，強摘3連勝。
讓鵜鶘起死回生之人就是傷癒歸隊的哈勒戴，他受傷前球隊2勝10敗，歸隊後強勢拿下3連勝，此役替補上陣打了27分鐘，15投7中，攻下15分、4籃板、4助攻、2抄截，表現相當全面。
此外，先發控衛佛雷澤砍進21分、14助攻、5籃板、3抄截，泰倫斯瓊斯17分、6籃板，摩爾15分，安東尼戴維斯13分，所羅門希爾11分。
